English Language Arts (ELA)

  • Reading: Read and comprehend a variety of literature and informational texts.

  • Comprehension Skills: Identify main ideas, make inferences, and describe story elements in detail.

  • Writing: Create well-structured paragraphs in multiple genres, including narratives, opinion pieces, and informational writing.

  • Grammar & Conventions: Learn parts of speech, sentence types, punctuation, and proper capitalization.

  • Speaking & Listening: Participate in discussions, respond to questions, and share ideas clearly.

Mathematics

  • Operations & Algebraic Thinking: Add and subtract within 100 fluently; solve simple word problems.

  • Number & Place Value: Understand place value to 1,000.

  • Foundations of Multiplication: Work with equal groups as an introduction to multiplication concepts.

  • Measurement & Data: Tell time to the nearest five minutes; count money and make change; collect and interpret data in charts and graphs.

  • Geometry: Partition shapes into halves, thirds, and fourths; identify attributes of shapes.

Science

  • Life Science: Study plant and animal life cycles.

  • Earth Science: Observe weather patterns and explore climate differences.

  • Physical Science: Investigate properties of materials and their uses.

  • Environmental Science: Explore human impact on the environment and distinguish between natural and man-made changes.

  • Scientific Practices: Ask questions, plan and conduct simple investigations, and use data to explain findings.
